The Chelsea International Fine Art Competition
Agora Gallery in New York, NY announces a call to artists for a juried art competition. View awards. Jurors: Kelly Baum, Curator of Contemporary Art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art; Pierre-Yves Desaive, Curator of Contemporary Art at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium; Lara Yeager-Crasselt, Curator of The Leiden Collection, a private collection of Dutch and Flemish art based in New York. Painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, digital media, printing, and mixed media are eligible. Video art, film, performance art, jewelry, and crafts are not eligible. $45 entry fee includes up to 5 images ($5 for each add’l image).
Animals Art Contest
Grey Cube Gallery proudly presents the third Animals online art contest for the month of March 2022. Contest is open to all artists worldwide over 18 years of age. We invite artists and photographers to submit their best artworks related to the world of animals. A variety of interpretations of Animals theme can be submitted (representative, abstract, conceptional). All visual art mediums (except video and sound) are allowed. ‘Unique by Nature’ Juried Art Competition & Exhibition
The City of McKinney, Texas announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, April 2-23 at the McKinney Performing Arts Center. One large-scale work will be awarded a $6,000 purchase prize. An additional $2,500 in prize money will be divided among five works of art chosen by the judges, J Patrick Cooney & Karl Buchberg. Open to professional and emerging artists who are legal residents of the United States and at some point have been residents of Texas. All two- and three-dimensional media are allowed. The large-scale work must be 36″ or more in one dimension (not including the frame). No 3D work will be considered for the Purchase Prize. $28 entry fee.
“Spring Fling”
DISTRICT Arts, a contemporary art gallery located in the historic district of downtown Frederick, MD, invites entries for a juried exhibition to be held, May 4-30, 2022. $500 Best in Show, $250 Award of Merit, $100 Honorable Mention. Juror: Evan Boggess. “Spring Fling” will feature works reflecting the artists’ concept of Spring. Of course, that could mean awakening, renewal, and regeneration. It could also mean interesting takes on blooming flowers or trees, a barn dance, Spring Break in South Beach, or trout fishing in Idaho. Artists are invited to submit entries for the 14th Annual Watermedia Showcase. $2,500+ in awards. Entries must be created primarily with water-based media (watercolor, acrylic, casein, gouache or egg tempera) on a surface created for watermedia (paper; illustration board; paper-mounted board; watercolor canvas; or clay-coated surfaces, such as Claybord and Aquabord). Mixed-media entries are accepted, but watermedia must be the dominant element. Employees of Peak Media Properties LLC and their immediate families are not eligible. $30 entry fee.
